Mychailo Wynnyckyj
Professor, Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies at the National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”
Professor Wynnyckyj is a regular commentator for English-language media outlets (CNN, FoxNews, AlJazeera, BBC, CBC, CTV, KyivPost, and others), and provides analysis on current events in his “Thoughts from Kyiv” blog. His book “Ukraine’s Maidan, Russia’s War: A Chronicle and Analysis of the Revolution of Dignity” establishes a chronicle of Ukraine’s Maidan and Russia’s ongoing war, and puts forth an analysis of the Revolution of Dignity from the perspective of a participant observer. Originally from Canada, Professor Wynnyckyj holds a PhD in sociology from the University of Cambridge (UK). He has lived permanently in Kyiv for two decades with his wife and four children.
