Sławomir Dębski
Director of Polish Institute of International Affairs
Sławomir Dębski is an international affairs expert, and an experienced institution builder and manager. Sławomir specializes in Poland’s foreign policy, external relations of the European Union, NATO and transatlantic relations, as well as foreign and domestic policy of Russia.
Sławomir joined the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM) in 2000 as an analyst and has subsequently ascended to the position of research coordinator for Eastern Europe, head of PISM Research Office and ultimately the Director of the Institute in 2007.
Sławomir is a graduate of history from the Jagiellonian University, where he has also earned his PhD in 2002. He is the author of a highly acclaimed book Between Berlin and Moscow: German-Soviet Relations, 1939–1941.
